Little attention has been focused on advanced practice nursing APN preparation. A descriptive exploratory survey design will be utilized to identify APN competencies that are important in achieving UHC. It will be piloted to assess psychometric properties and revised, as needed.
The final survey instrument will be sent to a minimum of participants consisting of nursing key informants in academia, service, councils, associations, hospitals and practicing nurses who are master prepared. The survey will be distributed through an electronic link. The demographic data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics.
